Theatre Performances
Ivan Coyote has been touring solo and as part of collaborative multi media projects since 1996. They have performed in front of live audiences on stages on five continents. Ivan has told stories in theatres, at festivals, in schools, under tents, on boats, in prisons, in boardrooms, in forests, on beaches and in back yards and farmer’s fields.
If you ask Ivan Coyote, there is almost nowhere on this earth that can’t be made better by people gathering to tell and listen to stories.
Ivan can put together a set as short as seven minutes and as long as 2 hours to be included in your festival or theatre season or conference or special event. They are happy to perform in front of audiences of all sizes and shapes, and can custom design a program for you based on your technical and venue capabilities, and intended guests.
Ivan loves to collaborate with other musicians, animators, composers, songwriters and writers. Over the last couple of decades, Ivan has written and toured eight different original full-length mixed media shows with artists such as Rae Spoon, Veda Hille, Sarah MacDougall, and many others.
Ivan is also currently accepting bookings for their new one-person show called Playlist, which is a series of stories inspired by the soundtrack of their early years growing up as a sometimes lonely baby queer and not-quite-yet trans kid growing up in the Yukon in the 70’s and 80’s. Playlist blends hilarity and heartbreak in equal doses, and the stories have been visually scored with artwork by artist and animator Clyde Petersen.
